HOPU Vacuum Lubricant Oil Dehydrator is a specialized piece of equipment designed to efficiently remove water and solid contaminants from lubricating oils. It is ideal for use in various industries, including power generation, manufacturing, marine, and mining. The machine helps extend the life of oil, improves equipment performance, and reduces maintenance costs. Its operation is based on a combination of mechanical and vacuum dehydration, followed by fine filtration.
This system is designed for reliability, ease of use, and safety. It works automatically with minimal need for operator intervention.

How It Works: The Dehydration and Filtration Process
The process happens in clear stages to ensure thorough cleaning and dehydration of the oil.
1. Initial Dehydration: The Coalescing Separator (Water Removal Filter)
The first step involves removing free water from the oil. The oil first passes through a special coalescing separator element. This filter is made to attract and collect small water droplets. These droplets combine into larger ones. Because water is heavier than oil, these large droplets then fall to the bottom of the separator housing. They can be drained away easily.
For situations where the oil has very little water, or if the user wants to skip this stage, a bypass valve is installed. When this valve is opened, the oil flow goes around the coalescing separator. It goes directly into the vacuum chamber for the next stage of processing.
2. Secondary Dehydration: The Vacuum System and Heater
The second and most important step is removing dissolved water and gases. This is done under a vacuum.
The Vacuum Chamber: The oil flows into a strong tank called the vacuum chamber. A vacuum pump removes the air from this tank, creating a very low-pressure environment inside.
The Heater: Inside the vacuum chamber, the oil is warmed by an electric heater. The temperature is carefully controlled by a thermostat. This prevents the oil from getting too hot, which could damage it.

Why This Works: In this low-pressure environment, the boiling point of water is greatly reduced. This means the water inside the oil turns into vapor at a much lower temperature. The gentle heat helps this process. The water vapor and other gases are then sucked out by the vacuum pump and released. A vacuum gauge on the unit shows the level of vacuum inside the chamber.
This combination of heat and vacuum is very effective at deeply drying the oil.
3. Final Cleaning: Three-Stage Filtration
After the water is removed, the oil moves to the final filtration stage. Here, three different fine filter elements clean out any solid particles.
These filters have different levels of fineness (measured in microns). They work together to capture particles of various sizes. The first filter catches larger debris. The next one catches medium-sized particles. The final filter removes the smallest contaminants. This ensures the oil is very clean and ready for reuse.
Automatic Operation and Control
A key feature of this dehydrator is its high level of automation. This makes it simple to operate and reduces the need for constant watching.
Dual Float Level Controllers: These are used to automatically manage the oil level inside the vacuum chamber. One float controls the inlet solenoid valve. When the oil level is low, the float drops and opens the valve to let more oil in. When the oil level is high enough, the float rises and closes the valve. Another float controls the outlet oil pump. It turns the pump on to transfer clean oil out when the chamber is full. This system keeps the oil flow in a steady balance.
Pressure Protection: A pressure controller is installed on the filtration system. If the filters become clogged and the pressure gets too high, the controller will automatically stop the pump. This prevents damage to the filter elements and the system itself.
One-Button Control: The system is designed for simple operation. The user only needs to press a single "Start" button to begin the process. Similarly, a "Stop" button shuts the system down safely. After starting, the machine will quickly reach its stable working condition. It can then run for long periods without an operator being present.
